Hi, I’m Peter Adzema, a 25-year-old filmmaker based in both Astoria, NYC, and the Metro Detroit area in Michigan. I recently graduated from the College for Creative Studies with a BFA in Film.
In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, skateboarding, and collecting action figures. My creative style is deeply influenced by old skate videos, the inventive comedy of Tim and Eric, and the unique humor of the Mega64 group. In response to the current climate, I focus on creating comedic and experimental work as a way to offer an escape from the everyday.
During college, I produced over 25 short films and experimental pieces and won several awards, including first place in the 2022 48-Hour Film Challenge. My work has been featured in festivals such as Planet 9 Film Festival, NYC Lift-Off, Short Cuts NYC, and the CCS Student Expo from 2021 to 2023.
Since graduating, I’ve been involved in a variety of projects. I worked with the Michigan House of Representatives, where I helped update their video studio and served as the lead content creator for over 50 politicians. I also contributed to social media campaigns with Design Core, including their “Made in Detroit” initiative. As the head of live stream production at First Presbyterian Church of Dearborn, I lead a team of four in managing live streaming operations for various events.
Recently, I moved to NYC, where I’ve worked as a PA on local shoots, served as the head videographer and photographer for the Big Apple Film Festival, and collaborated with local wrestling promotions for photography. Additionally, I run my own sketch comedy group, Non Descript Video Club, with two other members. Our weekly sketches and animations have garnered over 15 million views!
I’m always excited about discovering new and unique opportunities in my career and eager to see where this creative journey will take me next.
